According to the company, the number of duplicate accounts on its platform has increased to more than 25 crores in three years, which is 11% of its monthly active users (MAU), while in 2015 the figure was just 5%.




More than 500 million users in three years

According to a Facebook report, the number of users in the company was 159 million in 2015, which increased to 232 million in 2018. That is, the company added more than 500 million users in three years.


11% duplicate account on Facebook

Indeed, if a user logs in at least once in a month on Facebook, it is called Monthly Active User (MAU). 11% of Facebook's 232 million MAUs are duplicate accounts. According to the company, an account created by a user other than his main account is called a duplicate account.
These accounts are divided into two categories. First, those businesses are usually made on behalf of an organization. These include accounts using Facebook page. Second, such accounts which are completely fraudulent and which are made for any purpose. Such accounts are like spam on Facebook and violate the platform's terms and conditions.

Daily Active users increased by 9% compared to 2017
According to Facebook, the number of daily active users worldwide has also increased. Facebook said its number of Daily Active Users in 2017 was 140 million, which increased 9 percent in 2018 to 152 million. According to Facebook, countries such as India, Indonesia and the Philippines have an important role in increasing the number of Daily Active Users.
